The first public parade of yearlings by Little Avondale’s exciting young stallion Time Test takes place at the stud this Friday at 2pm. Time Test, who has been back in the country a little over a fortnight, will also parade, along with Per Incanto and Nadeem.
Interest in the son of Dubawi has been strong from the moment it was announced he would be standing at LA in 2018, and it has only intensified on the back of his sire’s results and the quality of Time Test’s first foals last year. It almost goes without saying that 2020 has been another stellar year for Dubawi but it’s also been a break- through one for his sire sons, headlined by the remarkable Night of Thunder.
The significance of the emergence of the Dubawi sire line isn’t lost on LA’s Owner Sam Williams.
“I knew the appeal of Dubawi when we bought into Time Test but it was too early to know how he’d go as a sire of sires. Early on there was Makfi but now with Night of Thunder’s results and some other young sons hitting their straps, the timings been perfect, especially with his first crop (Time Test’s) going to the sales this summer.”
Time Test’s book of 130 mares almost closed.
“Let’s face it, it’s been a crazy year and everyone is doing it tough. Time Test has helped himself though, his foals were sensational, but you need them to go forward which they’ve done. He stamps his foals, they’re all consistent in colour, have great bone and are very athletic. He’s left them very physical especially through the hind quarter, a typical Dubawi trait.
Visitors are encouraged to stay on after the 2020 parade for a barbecue and refreshments. To assist with preparations and Covid restrictions please register your attendance with office@lastud.co.nz
