Satono Aladdin is the only Group 1 winning son of breed shaping Japanese stallion Deep Impact to stand in New Zealand. He has a world class female pedigree and is an exciting sire prospect being a Group 1 winning Japanese miler who possessed a devastating turn of foot.
Satono Aladdin was a NZ$1.7 million dollar foal purchase himself and he has consistently stamped his foals with his own quality and athleticism.
“His first crop Japanese foals sold up to NZ$847,000 and averaged NZ$612,000 at the 2019 JRHA Select Sale so we had high expectations regarding his first New Zealand foals” said Rich Hill Managing director John Thompson.
“He has been very popular with NZ broodmare owners in his first two seasons at stud and the reports from breeders around the country regarding his foals and weanlings has been extremely positive. Quality, correct individuals with great attitudes has been the consistent feedback.”
Deep Impacts sire-dominance has continued posthumously around the globe with his latest statistic’s numbering 158 black-type winners which includes 46 individual Group 1 winners. His latest Group One star is unbeaten colt Contrail, a runaway winner of Sunday’s Gr. 1 Japanese Derby.
The son of Deep Impact started as red-hot favourite following his win in the Japanese 2000 Guineas and he is now just one leg away from becoming the eighth winner of Japan’s Triple Crown.
Satono Aladdin will stand at Rich Hill Stud in 2020 for a fee of $12,500 +GST
