VIDEO: Caroline Searcy talks to Brighthill Farm's Nick King and checks out the first crop of weanlings by four-time Group One winner Preferment.
The first crop of Brighthill Farm's resident sire Preferment are impressing.
The four-time Group One winner entered stud in 2017 and his oldest crop are now weanlings.
The son of Zabeel has made an excellent start to his stud career, this comes with support from his shareholders which include his original owners, Debbie Kepitis, Frank and Christine Cook and Graham and Linda Huddy. Other shareholders include Yulong Investments, Bloomsbury Stud, Valachi Downs and Milan Park.
Preferment served 117 mares in his first year, despite a late arrival to a busy first season marketplace. This was followed up on the back of some impressive foals with a book of just under 130, which put Preferment in the top 10 stallions on number of mares bred last season.
