NZTR has scheduled a series of St John First Aid workshops for licensed industry participants to whom it might be relevant. Each workshop will be limited to a maximum of 20 attendees.
The workshops will take place as follows:
Riccarton Park Racecourse: Monday 1 May 11.00am – 3.30pm
Awapuni Racecourse: Friday 5 May 11.00am – 3.30pm
Matamata Racecourse: Monday 8 May 11.00am – 3.30pm
Pukekohe Park Racecourse: Monday 15 May 11.00am – 3.30pm
The intention of the workshops is to provide an opportunity for attendees to gain basic but important knowledge and skills in the area of first aid administration. The courses have been tailored to cover areas that NZTR & St John think are relevant to the thoroughbred industry.
Course content is Basic Life Support including: Scene safety, Calling an ambulance, CPR, Choking, Bleeding plus Head and Spinal module
NZTR have subsidised the course cost and as a result each attendee will only be charged $40.00 (as opposed to the standard $169.00 for St John Level 1). Please register with Claire Bish by 4pm Monday 24 April. claire.bish@nzracing.co.nz
When registering, please ensure you state the first & last names of the people you wish to attend, the location of the course you wish to attend, a contact number and the person/business to be invoiced.
