The Asian influence at next year's New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale series is set to be even more significant.
The Kylin 500 Club will be hosting 200 of its high-net worth clients at the Karaka auction, with their visit to also take in the Karaka Million race meeting at Ellerslie and business functions in Auckland.
Kylin's global services include thoroughbred trading and management, organising luxury events and tours and promoting investment and trade opportunities between its members and local entrepreneurs.
"Our members recognise the quality of New Zealand thoroughbreds on the race track and want to capitalise on the investment opportunities available to them," Kylin's New Zealand general manager Alan Fu said.
"The yearling sales at Karaka will provide our members with a first-hand New Zealand sales experience and will lead to stronger relationships between members and breeders, along with increased opportunity for racehorse ownership."
In association with New Zealand Bloodstock and the Auckland Racing Club, Kylin will help market the New Zealand thoroughbred industry to a wider Chinese audience.
The Kylin entourage will arrive on January 29 and take in the Karaka Million with guests to also be treated to entertainment including cultural performances to celebrate Chinese New Year.

"At this year's National Yearling Sale Series we saw a large number of quality yearlings knocked down to Chinese buyers.
