Although beginning from barrier stall 13 in a sixteen horse field MISS THREE STARS was able to work over to be three back on the inside running early in the race for Samantha Wynne. This tactic saved valuable ground rounding the home turn, and was very instrumental in her win.

Dublin born 27 year old woman jockey Samantha Wynne has been riding in New Zealand for four years with 173 wins to July 2016. Wynne has won 8 races on MISS THREE STARS. Her Winter Cup ride should be compulsory viewing at future Apprentice Jockey Schools.
