The NZTBA is delighted to launch the latest version of its website with a new front page, easier navigation, subtly updated design and new services and content.
There's more emphasis on news, especially news about New Zealand breeders, star performers, studs and stallions. Check out our Latest News regularly for the background stories and information we have the resources, contacts and, most of all, the desire to bring to you.
The NZTBA has always been active in industry politics, representing breeders' interests with the government and other industry organisations in New Zealand and overseas. For the Association's views on the issues that matter, tote distributions, traditional race names or embryo transfer, read Breeder's Voice.
Tell your children and grand-children about NZTBA Kewl, a bright and snappy new section for kids from 7 to seventeen. There are FAQs, Stars, a Dictionary, Facts & Figures, Quizes, and a Homework Help section full of information suitable for assignments and projects.
The Breeder's Guide meets frequent requests from new participants for guidance about buying broodmares, selecting stallions, selling horses, production costs, leasing and bloodstock taxation. It's a section we'll steadily expand in response to feedback from NZTBA members and other breeders.
The same goes for the International Breeding section where we'll post key data about breeding and racing in other countries - starting (of course!) with Ireland and England.
We've included a new links page especially for Industry Partners; and dedicated pages for our two commercial partners, Montana Wines and Dunstan Feeds (the idea is to lubricate the breeders and feed the horses!). Montana is celebrating Christmas and the launch of our new site with a special offer for NZTBA members which closes on 19 December.
Montana and Dunstan have funded the re-development of the NZTBA website in conjunction with the Association's Waikato branch which has directed its support to the NZTBA Kewl pages.
The design and technical work on the site was done by Fora Systems of Auckland, whose designer Russian-born Julia Orlova also worked on the previous version of the site which won the Best Organisaton Site title at the 2001 LetItRide Southern Hemisphere Internet Awards.
