* ACT recognises that Racing is a major contributor to the New Zealand economy,
both domestically, and as an exporter.
* ACT believes that Racing is a business, and that the Government should get out of controlling it.
* ACT believes that the Racing business should determine its own future, that small clubs should not be disadvantaged, and that small clubs that have a good business case should be able to have their futures decided on that ground.
* Fundamentally, ACT believes in lower taxes, which will provide stronger growth and employment, providing working New Zealanders with greater prosperity and income, thereby assisting the racing industry as well as other businesses.
* ACT believes in major ACC reform, especially the involvement of private insurance, and recognises the different circumstances of different parts of the Racing industry.
ACT is opposed to the Racing Bill.
