First TBS trifecta of 2006-07 at Ashburton

The opening weeks of the new season have seen Thoroughbred Bonus Scheme prizemoney of $19,725 won at six meetings from Ruakaka to Ashburton.

Results include the season's first TBS trifecta at Ashburton on Sunday, when Santa Rosa De Lima led home Makamak and Bolivar Belle. They claimed 100% of the $7500 B bonus, which more than doubled the base stake for this race.

Last season's champion two-year-old & TBS star JOKERS WILD, winner of almost $25,000 in bonus prizemoney.

At Hastings on Saturday the brilliant Jokers Wild made an impressive three-year-old debut, and added $5475 to the $19,125 TBS prizemoney he collected last season. Don Garcia, third placegetter in the same race, boosted his total TBS receipts to $17,100, about a third of his total stake earnings to date.
