The Stallion Parade will be held on Sunday 6th September and allows thoroughbred enthusiasts the opportunity to visit Auckland's Stud Farms as part of the Auckland Stud Tour. Starting at Te Runga Stud in Patumahoe at 11am, the stud tour will move to Westbury Stud in Karaka at 12noon with the day's event completed at Haunui Farm at 1pm. Each stud will show their stallion roster for the 2009 breeding season and everyone who attends each farm on the day and completes their entry form, will go in the draw to win a free service for the 2009 season to one of the following stallions – Castledale, Strategic Image (Te Runga Stud), Cecconi (Westbury Stud), Don Eduardo, Elusive City (Haunui Farm).
"What better way to conclude the weekend than to inspect the stallions in the Auckland region," said David Moore, President of the Auckland Branch of the NZTBA. "And, thanks to the generosity of the studs involved, someone is going to win a free service to a one of a select group of stallions which should guarantee a fantastic turn out," he said.
