Renowned mare The Opera House has passed her rare pigmentation on to her latest foal.
The white filly by champion sire High Chaparral was born at Windsor Park Stud, near Cambridge, on Wednesday night.
"She is a very elegant foal, a good size, very attractive and obviously very white," said Windsor Park Stud's Rodney Schick.
"She is already very popular with lots of newspapers calling today and she has gone crazy on Facebook with over 200 people sharing her photo already."
The Opera House made headlines, as one of only few registered white thoroughbreds in the world, when she was born at Cambridge Stud in 2006.
The daughter of Zabeel and a three-quarter sister to Might and Power, went on to be the first white thoroughbred filly sold at auction in Australia when purchased by entrepreneur John Singleton for $A280,000 as yearling in 2008.
Singleton ran a promotion offering racing shares in the filly and she duly performed on the racetrack winning one and placing in five of nine starts before being retired to stud due to a leg injury.
The Opera House produced a bay filly by Big Brown for Singleton, named Harbour Bridge, before returning to the sale ring.
"I followed The Opera House when she was born because she was pretty special and such a novelty," said Schick.
"It's a family that we started off with Benediction and we had been trying to buy back in to the family for a while so when she came up at the Gold Coast sale Michael Wallace purchased her for us."
The Opera House's second foal, a colt by Pluck, will be offered at the 2015 New Zealand Bloodstock National Select Yearling Sale while this latest addition is also expected to be sold.
The Opera House will be mated with Windsor Park Stud's first season sire Shamexpress this year.
