Savabeel’s Gr.1 winning son Embellish was well supported in his first season at stud and the next phase of his stallion career got underway when his first foal arrived at Colero Park last week. High Chaparral mare La Achiever delivered a filly for breeder’s Graeme Rogerson and Eric Thompson.
Colero Park’s Christine Juett was impressed by the filly, which is also the dam’s first foal.
“We were delighted to have our first foal of the new season by Embellish,” Juett said.
“She has a great nature and straight away was interested in everything happening around her. For a first foal she is a very good bodied filly.”
La Achiever was a winner on the track and is out of a half-sister to the Stakes winners Julinsky Princess, Unknown Heights and Dontellthewife. She also descends from English and Irish Oaks winner Juliette Marny.
Embellish is Savabeel’s only Gr.1 winning son at stud and covered 138 mares in his first season. He stands at Cambridge Stud for a fee of $4,000 + GST in 2020.
